     Design Theory Booklet
Description:
In this 54-page booklet, I visually explored the contrasting philosophies of two influential design essays: debating whether design should unobtrusively disappear or remain deliberately visible to the viewer. Through thoughtful layout and experimental print aesthetics, the project examines the tension between clarity and expression, function and form.
To embody these ideas, I employed a controlled “misprint” effect—highlighting the often-invisible craftsmanship behind graphic design and making the designer’s hand intentionally visible. This visual disruption becomes part of the argument, encouraging readers to consider how design communicates not only through content, but through presence.
